Asus Transformer Pad Infinity TF700 was released earlier in 2012 and needless to say its quite been a hit.It has found a large userbase.Also this Transformer has got some Android Development going on and owing to that Jelly Bean has been developed for it and thus recently Rooting method for Transformer TF700 on Android Jelly Bean has been developed for it through which you can root your Transformer TF700 very easily and at the same time ClockWork Mod recovery also gets installed.

Rooting Asus Transformer Pad Infinity TF700

Reasons for Rooting Asus Transformer TF700:

Basically if you intend to get access to special system files , if you want to edit those files or customize you need to Root Asus Transformer TF700 .In simple words ,Rooting provides you and the apps to get a control of your entire mobile system.You basically become a “Superuser” through which you can alter :

1.Minimum 60% of your Tab battery must be charged.

2.Back up your phone data using Nandroid

To Backup apps, use this App ———>  AppBak Download

To Backup Messages, use this App —> SMS Backup and Restore Download

3.Sync your contacts with gmail OR what you can do is import the contacts to the SD card wherein you will get a .vcf file which later on you can export to restore the contacts

4.Enable USB debugging mode(Settings –> Applications –> Development –> USB Debugging)

Following is the Detailed Method to Root Asus Transformer TF700  :

Step 1:

Download the Fastboot.zip file and also ClockWorkMod Recovery v6.0.1.4 (recovery.img) file
Download the Super SU zip file from here 

Step 2:

Now extract the Fastboot.zip wherein you will get Fastboot Folder.Now put the recovery.img file inside the Fastboot Folder.

Step 3: 
Now switch off your Asus Transformer TF700 and Boot it in bootloader mode and get booted in BootLoader mode.Now you need to select Fastboot from the Bootloader options to enter into Fastboot mode.(Use volume up/down keys to scroll)Then connect Transformer through USB to your PC.Now run the Command Prompt CMD on your PC and type the following command :

  • fastboot -i 0x0B05 flash recovery recovery.img
    fastboot -i 0x0B05 reboot

Step 4:

Now you will get a “Finished/OKAY” message when the process is done.Thus CWM recovery has been installed on your Asus Transformer TF700.Then you may disconnect the tab from the Computer.Now what you need to do is now you need to enter recovery mode.

Step 5:

Now boot into the Recovery mode.

Now to work around in the CWM recovery , you need to make use of the following keys :
To move Up/down use Volume Up /Volume Down Button respectively
To open a selected option, use Home/Power button.

Now there are series of steps you need to perform before you begin your actual process of installation of Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean Transformer TF700 version.

Step 6:

Select and open the ‘Backup and Restore’ menu from the main menu and do the Nandroid Backup(select yes) to restore your files and previous ROM if something goes wrong with the New ROM. Just to be safe.

Step 7:

In order to have practically no errors or bugs whatsoever , you need to wipe the data and factory reset your device.
So go to the ‘Wipe Data /factory reset’ and ‘Wipe Cache partition’ and then perform these processes
Now go to the Advanced menu , you will see a ‘Wipe Dalvik Cache’ menu , select and click on yes to do it.

Step 8:

Now to Root Transformer TF700 , go to the ‘Install Zip from Sd Card’ menu , now select and open ‘“choose zip from sdcard’ menu , browse for the SuperSu.zip file that you downloaded from step 1 and then select it and select yes to begin the process of Rooting ASUS Transformer TF700
